Born in Portugal, raised in Angola, Miriam left a fulfilling career as a professional humanitarian, working with refugees in complex emergencies, for the classroom. Miriam teaches with joy and enthusiasm, bringing her adventurous spirit and passion to her students to foster compassion and curiosity about the world.

Miriam holds a BA in International Relations with a minor in Economics and International Law with a focus on Humanitarian Law, an MA degree in Intercultural Management, an M.A. of Education and a certification in Clinical Midwifery, tertiary-level care.
