Mara Cary has been an educator for the past 18 years, working in international schools in Scotland, Thailand, Sudan, Qatar, Malaysia, Sweden, and Portugal.

She holds a PGCE from the University of Dundee, as well as a PhD in Science from the University of St. Andrews in Scotland.

Mara enjoys integrating Education for Sustainable Development into her lessons and is currently thriving as the PYP Teacher at the International Sharing School – Taguspark. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her boys and her dog, Jacko, as well as reading.
