Irene Caballero

PYP 2 Teacher

Irene Caballero has been in education for 10 years, with the last 5 years at International Sharing School – Taguspark. She has taught English in the UK and Spain, as well as Spanish as a second language in the US. Although she began her teaching career with secondary students, her passion truly flourished when she started working with primary students, finding the experience highly rewarding.

Having moved to Portugal in 2019 for love, Irene Caballero is also a proud mother to a baby boy. She holds a degree in English Literature and Linguistics, along with two master’s degrees—one in Hispanic Studies with a minor in English teaching from Auburn University and another in Teaching English/Spanish as second languages from the University of Alicante. Additionally, she has a CELTA, a DELTA in Academic Management, and is currently pursuing an iPGCE at East London University.

Fun Facts

Irene loves cats (having two of them), is scared of fish and the sea, and enjoys spending time at home playing board games with her family.
