Our MYP 1 and MYP 2 students spent the day thinking, building, testing and improving during the “Across The Board” Challenge, led by 8 Billion Ideas.
Working in teams, students designed their own board games while exploring how ideas evolve and how constructive feedback can strengthen a final project.
The process encouraged discussion, problem-solving, creativity and plenty of trial and error along the way, giving students a real sense of the design journey.
This hands-on learning opportunity highlighted collaboration, curiosity and teamwork in action, showing how meaningful learning emerges through exploration, experimentation and shared problem-solving.
Students left the day with not only a stronger understanding of design thinking, but also new skills in communication, resilience and innovation.
