Helena Cardador

Chemistry Teacher | EE & IDU Coordinator

Helena is a teacher born and raised in Évora, Portugal, with a love for science and education. Since 2013, she has been teaching Chemistry and Physics in international schools, focusing on the IB curriculum.

While she has taken on roles like Extended Essay Coordinator for the past five years, MYP Coordinator, Head of Department, and IDU Coordinator, her true passion lies in the classroom, where she feels most at home working directly with students.

Teaching for Helena is about making science accessible and helping students grow in confidence. Beyond school, she enjoys spending time with family, staying active through exercise, and discovering new places through travels.

Helena reads about 50 books per year; She would like to move to Japan one day; Practiced Martial Arts and played Tennis for a long time in the past.
