This week at ISS Taguspark, we were delighted to welcome principals from our sister schools within the Sharing Education Group — ISS Madeira and Bright International School in the Algarve. Visits like this are always a meaningful reminder of the strength of our wider community: three schools, connected by shared values and a common purpose.
Throughout the day, our principals spent time together on campus, exchanging ideas, reflecting on practice, and discussing what it means to lead schools that place children at the centre of everything we do. From walking through our learning spaces to meeting members of staff, the atmosphere was one of collaboration, openness, and genuine enthusiasm for the journey we are building together.
To capture the spirit of the visit, we filmed a short reflection with each principal, asking one simple question:
“In one word, what do you want every student to feel at your school — and why?”
Their responses were thoughtful, personal, and deeply aligned with the mission we share across the Group. Although each school has its own unique identity and context, the message was clear: we are united in our commitment to nurturing confident, compassionate, and globally minded young people.
At International Sharing School – Taguspark, we believe that strong schools grow stronger when they learn from one another. These moments of connection help us stay aligned, inspired, and constantly improving — not just as individual campuses, but as a family of schools working towards the same vision for education.
We are grateful to David Tigchelaar and Tom Caston for spending the day with us and for the meaningful conversations that will continue to shape our work moving forward.
