Gisele Seeger holds a PhD in Literature, with a specialisation in Literary Theory, from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul (PUCRS, Brazil), which included a research period at the University of Lisbon. She also earned a Master’s degree in Literary Studies and a Bachelor’s degree in Languages and Literature from the Federal University of Santa Maria (UFSM), Brazil.
She has been teaching Portuguese since 2021, both in Brazil and Portugal, and currently teaches Portuguese in the MYP at International Sharing School – Taguspark. Gisele Seeger is the author of several academic works, including her doctoral thesis A (des)figuração da personagem na ficção portuguesa do século XX (2023), and co-author of the book A Personagem na Narrativa Literária (UFSM Press, 2021). Gisele Seeger also contributed to the Dicionário de Personagens da Ficção Portuguesa, published by the Centre for Portuguese Literature at the University of Coimbra.
